About the same time as Sandman reaches Chaos Krew HQ, Kron, Sparky and Pezl (?) are dumped into separate cells, cuffed in nullifiers and whisked away on a plane. Fortunately for them, Dr. Destructo (who awaits the arrival of Sandman at HQ) decided that they are actually too knowledgeable about the resistance to be left imprisoned, so a rescue attempt is set up – Sandman is being drafted for this duty, and is to receive the help of Hellspawn Barbie and her two chainsaws (of Doom!!) and someone called Thinktank (some vaguely humanoid, green skinned yet oriental looking lizardy being). They fly off into the sunset looking for (and finding) the plane in which the prisoners are being transported. Thinktank manages to find an opening (OK, he rips off part of the fuselage) after which Sandman and Barbie rappel down onto the prison transport, at which point they’re being shot from point blank range (which came as quite a shock, I don’t mind telling you). Luckily both were wearing heavy armor, so not harm was done. In retaliation, Sandman sets Charlene to Area Effect mode and lets rip – resulting in the partial destruction of the aircraft which is going into a crashdive. With no means of escape (Dr. D having flown the coup) most of our heroes have to suffer the crash landing on some remote tropical beach, but all manage the survive – all but Sparky that is: after being driven to vegetarianism due to massive amounts of fear he splashes into the ocean which mercifully kills him off (the mercy part being that he didn’t have to suffer the life of a vegan for very long). Some other captives were freed ass well, and one of them decides to hang around our merry band – a four armed martial arts specialist called Johnny Four. Sandman uses his vibroknife to cut through the nullifiers. Pezl decided he needs to be around water and dives into the ocean where he finds an underwater passage.

Barbie manages to salvage everyones gear, and Kron manages to find some much needed generator parts, but after that it’s a quick retreat into a nearby cave. Barbie destroys the cave entrance – which turns out to be the only easy egress. The day is saved by Pezl who finds his way into the cave via underwater passages. A quick reconnaissance reveals a larger cave where Pezl fins rebreathers for the rest of the team and they make their way into the large cave. this turns out to be a hidden submarine docking bay guarded by unsuspecting drones. They are easily dealt with at the expense of Pezl dying, but just as the coast appears to be clear the team is startled by the sound of a loud foghorn – signaling the approach of an actual submarine. The surviving crewmembers (Sandman and Kron) along with Johnny Four and Barbie decide to take shelter in a room…

TBC!

Our quest for generator parts continues this session. After last session’s clusterf*ck / opening Pandora’s box the crew is again united when Sandman joins up in a derelict hotel. It is decided that we try to procure our needed parts from a V’Sori compound near the great bridge. Once there, it falls on Sandman’s shoulders to infiltrate and reconnoiter. Kron manages to hook him up with live-streaming webcam so Sandman can be alerted when he finds the right parts.Meanwhile, our new Atlantean friend tries to find out whats going on at the sea-side of the compound, but finds nothing of real interest. Sandman manages to the locate the parts they need, but some drones are alerted to the miraculous disappearance of mechanical parts. Sandman manages to get away with 40% of the needed parts, and barely escapes with his life as drones raise the alarm. During his escape, Sandman spots some important V’Sori and humans leaving the compound and tries a snapshot at the important looking human, but the shot misses in some kind of dispersement field.

With a substantial portion of the parts still missing a couple of options present themselves for a next procurement mission – either raid another facility (be it V’Sori of human), or rely on a black marketeer called Willy the Fish. The latter option would lead to financial ruin for the crew, so it is decided we steal a helicopter and fly to a nearby V’Sori base and infiltrate using tried and trusted strategies. Sandman teleports into the base and manages to find his way into a research lab. Also inside are a number of V’Sori and Finn. To be able to steal what’s needed Sandman asks him comrades to provide a distraction.

Sparky / Brimstone takes it upon himself to blow up the base’s fuel depot, but as he attempts to do so, the helicopter is blown up by a V’Sori gunship. As Sparky is hurling a fireball it’s apparent something else has gone wrong – the fireball is aimed at Kron and the Atlantean, and it does huge damage! The attack burns the Atlantean into submission and knocks out Kron completely, and with Sparky under the influence of mindcontrol, the three of them are easily captured by the V’Sori.

As communication with the rest of the crew is broken, Sandman realizes something is wrong, and teleports out of the lab, where he hears a voice in his head asking him who he is. Sandman immediately makes a run (a rather, a series of teleporting jumps) for it, but is chased by Finns and their bloodhounds, Gork. Despite continuous teleporting Sandman can’t outrun them until he reaches a deep ravine. Temporarily re-appearing at the edge of the ravine Sandman lures his followers to his position, and, cutting it very fine indeed, teleports to the other side of the ravine. The first few Gork are unable to stop in time and fall to their death in the ravine.

Having lost his tail like this, Sandman makes his way to the nearest road (eluding several V’Sori aerial patrols along the way) and contacts Dr. Destructo who orders him to return to Star City. The session ends as Sandman opens the door to what is now his own headquarters…

After the paranoia that is known as Mad Toymaker Mike’s house of delights, it was time we continued with our original plan: getting parts for the generator. Since the parts that we needed are stashed at a military base going guns a blazing wasn’t really an option. It was time to try something new. The infiltration operation was conceived.
In order infiltrate, we needed a couple things: papers in case we get caught (which is very likely), military uniforms and nice set of wheels. We already had the car of Androgeny. We only lacked the papers and clothes. While Androgeny found some contacts to get the paperwork done it was time for Sparky and Kron to get some new clothes. Time to hit the some army surplus stores.
The first was owned by a redneck and as such lacked pretty much any hygiene. This caused Sparky to lose his breakfast even before he could even enter. Save to assume this store didn’t had any of the gear we needed and it was time we hit the next army surplus. The next store was a lot better. After some information digging by Kron the team now got some military attire, boots, sunglasses and night vision goggles for Sparky. The only thing left was waste time at the local strip club waiting for Androgeny to return with the papers.
When he finally did it was time we attempted our infiltration at night. Arriving at the outer gates the military base was nowhere visibly in sight and instead there was a big dimly gloving dome of some sort. There was only 1 small structure in sight so we drove there carefully (lucky rolls) by car.
Trying another infiltrating action Androgency attempted to fly Kron and himself to the roof for some death from above…. except we got caught. All guarding personal ran inside to stop whatever we could do. Sparky made sure only half of the guards outside even got in, lucky us!
On top of the roof Androgency went inside and noticed a giant generator and started combat inside with the military. Meanwhile on the roof Kron was downloading valuable information on the layout of the base. After downloading Kron found the circuit breakers and turned down the power giving the villains a very big advantage (since everyone can see in the darkness now). Suffice to say massacre ensued. When there were only 2 scientists left to tell us the tale, Sparky threatened to blow up the generator if anyone moved. At that moment the lights turned on, and Sparky went BOOM. Apparently a soldier got passed us and turned on the circuit breaker.
During the combat and the screams we learned that inside the dome, which was acting as a forcefield, was an alien race which could doom all of the world. Since we blew up the generator no parts could be stolen there so we moved to the military base to find that hardware shack. Arriving at the base it seemed like some old abandoned base back from WW II. And during our drive we kept seeing strange shadows around every corner.
Arriving at the base supply depot Androgency opened the front door shutters. Nothing could prepare for what horrors were in store for us there. In the middle of the room lay a very big very dead Dragon covered in metallic parts. It immediately turned to us and shot a lightning breath our way. This event changed our trio in different ways. Androgency flew away as fast as he could. He just could not believe he just witnessed a dragon and started laughing manically. Kron was lucky enough to absorb the lightning and thought there might be some beneficial research to be had from a cyborg zombie dragon and started attacking it. Sparky’s mind on the other hand could not comprehend what was happening before him. He believed this had to be an act of god or the devil. Yes it was a sign of Satan, he had to finish this task! At that moment Sparky converted to Satanism. With this change he also changed his nickname. He shall now be known as Brimstone.
But before Kron and Brimstone could even harm the dragon more than just take a slice at it, it flew away into the world. Leaving behind nothing more than a lump of flesh from its neck. As the dragon flew away footsteps could be heard closing in but to who or what those footsteps belonged we could only guess for now…
21-03-2010
When Androgency recovered from the Shock of seeing a dragon he got to his senses. In the meantime the footsteps were getting closer and closer. Not only that there seemed to be some atlantean asking for help behind some crates. Ignoring him because we had some incoming enemies he just kept hiding there.
Our enemy was finally in sight, zombies! Brimstone pretty much just laid waste to 90% of the pack with a continued barrage of fireballs. When Kron finally got in the thick only 1 zombie was left. Seeing possibilities if this zombie was created by cybernetics like the dragon he took it out without damaging the body too much. At that point Pestle (the atlantean) set a whirlwind upon Kron to separate him from the zombie. Kron did not appreciate standing in a whirlwind, though Brimstone could see the humor in it.
After a while Kron finally got out with his zombie and exploring the supply depot was starting. As soon as it started it also finished. There was absolutely nothing nearby. All metallic items seemed to be stripped and removed. Even the laboratory next door was stripped clean of any metallic items. We wouldn’t be finding any generator parts here so we left. Androgency stole a Hummer at the generator building. Just in time too since strange gaunt creatures were starting to strip the cars down for parts. Androgency saved the day there. Pestle also tagged along instead of staying in the zombie hell hole.
Having failed to find any parts for the generator Kron decided it was a shot to try the v’sori depot near the bridge connecting the mainland to Star city. That was going to be our new target. The Group was however getting tired after 2 days of infiltration. We stopped at the nearest, and cheapest, motel we could find. Chances are that bills get lost there anyway. Motel “the Pinky Pony” pretty much fit that description. All villains had their own room and most started to get some well deserved rest in the dirty beds or less dirty bathtubs.
All but Kron, Kron was eager to start dissecting his possible cyborg zombie for any clues to that could help upgrade himself in the future. But as all good horror scene’s the moment Kron wanted to cut the still zombie it raised up at tried to attack him. One good punch was enough to knock it out cold(er) again. After that Kron continued his experiment. Sadly this seemed to be just an ordinary zombie with no cybernetic parts at all in it. The experiment wasn’t a complete failure tho, Kron did learn some good pointer on Zombie anatomy which could be handy in future encounters. Needless to say the zombie was reduced to parts, the bedsheets would never be clean again and our session was at an end.

Well, well, well… Another sunday, another session – and it was a doozy! An entire session, in which our Tireless Trio became a Fearsome Foursome again, in which we searched through an entire evil headquarters, and not a single shot fired by Yours Truly. But, it must be said, our DM managed, by virtue of nothing more than an occasional stroke of red felt-tip penmanship, to turn our team in a quivering mess of paranoid player – well, me at least. That this was her plan all along makes it that more loath- / praiseworthy, depending on your viewpoint.

Anyway, the aim of our session was to bring an end to Mad Toymaker Mike’s reign of … whatever, as per Dr. D’s request. And the man send us some help too – Androgeny joined our band of merry adventurers, much like a fourth novel in a Douglas Adams trilogy. He/she bring a whole slew of tricks to the party, such as shapeshifting, levitation, telepathy, to name but a few. We met him/her outside MTM’s factory, where he/she sensibly suggested that we (a) not attack whilst light outside, and (b) actually prepare for our attack. What a novel idea! Through some contacts we managed to track down an old business partner of MTM’s, and decided to pay him a little visit. This was accomplished by Androgeny masquerading as the young daughter of our contact, with Sandman as invisible backup. We managed to gain entrance to the house quite easily, Androgeny only having to have to kick the family puppy in the ‘nads. After that, it was a simple matter of being vewy, vewy quiet and searching through the house for information. Sadly, apart from a drawer full of adult toys and a small key, and a cryptic note found in the office, nothing was gained by this tactic (apart from a disturbing suggestion by YT that the little girl could surprise daddy by mounting a strap-on to her forehead and proclaim to be a unicorn – hey, I got an extra benny out of it, so no loss there!). Subsequent interrogation of the father got us nowhere either… Plus, we forgot to ask what the little key was for…

As evening was drawing near, we decided to start our attack. Androgeny levitated over the enclosing wall, only to find the place deserted – with a note on the door to the effect that MTM had left for Star City. We decided to search the place anyway, finding, in short, a musical hallway, a hall of mirrors, a storageroom with ejaculating teddybears, and a statueroom with a statue whose waiting embrace turned out to be electrocuted – had we done what we discussed, it would be clear that none of us would be having any offspring. In the cellar we found a small living area with nothing much of interest (except a four poster bed, which, while not exactly interesting in it’s own right, did prompt an entertaining discussion about the fundamental differenced between a horse head and a whore’s head, and how this would play out in the event the Godfather had been full of dyslexic mobsters), and a laboratory with 8 robotic soldiers. These eight turned out to be not dangerous at all, and were disabled quite easily. In a nearby computer we found documents which should let Kron build a device to let us control them. We loaded everything in a readily available truck, and set out for the nearest military base.

On the plus side, nobody got injured or killed. On the minus side, we -again- managed not to complete a mission… Oh well…

We’re five sessions in, some of us have already reached seasoned rank, and we’re still hauling around this d@mned generator. Time to hook the damn thing up, guys! But first, we need to repair it. For which, it urns out, we need some cheap ho’s, sorry, hose, piping and gears. Which we could probably get from the Gears-R-Us shop around the corner, but are actually going to get (used to quality items that we are) from some military base on the mainland. Which is actually kind of convenient, ’cause that’s where the target for Sparky’s last mission lives, a fellow known as Mad Toymaker Mike. Kill two birds with one stone, why don’t you!

So, how to get to the mainland? The obvious way would be by crossing the conviently located bridge between Star City and New York. Yeah, let’s do that… except that we left our travelpermits in our other pants, and you can’t cross without travelpermits, and Sparky forgot to ask Dr Destruction for some travelpermits when he got the order to kill MTM. So, we need travelpermits? Let’s get some. We start by scouting out the bridge entrance and security building, which is to say, Sandman does. Invisibility can come in mighty handily at times like these. While Sandman’s scouting ahead, Kron is re-acquainted with an old-time highschool ‘friend’, who a) happens to walk by the parked car in which Kron and Sparky are patiently awaiting the return of their teammate, and b) happens to work in the Star City Department of Transportation, Bridge to New York division, tollbooth squad. Her name is Candy, and she is able to help Chaos Crew get the much needed travelpermits – for a price. $1000 a piece.

So CC set out to procure the necessary funds, since Sandman’s efforts in reconnaisance are in vain. An ATM is raided for part of the cash, and after that the Crew proceed to some other place Kron knows, FreeMoney, Inc. While breaking in, what seems to be an old security guard catches them red-handed, and hilarity ensues, if by hilarity you mean that the old security guard turns out to be one of the few remaining superheroes in disguise and attacks Sparky and Sandman, severly wounding both of them with his big-ass gun and exploding ability before Sparky manages to defeat him (note to self: almost dying? Not much fun at all, no sirree). No clues as to what his identity is, alas. FreeMoney, Inc. is ironically virtually devoid of any decent amount of any actual free money, so another trip to an ATM is needed. And wouldn’t you know it, this one dispenses all the cash Chaos Crew needed in the first place. Thanks, GM.

Cash in hand, the Crew set out to meet Candy who turns out to need a second job as a stripper to make ends meet. Sparky immediately falls in love with her, and the feeling seems to be mutual. After handing over the cash, Candy and the Crew make an appointment to meet again the next morning at the bridge. Once there, Candy hands over the travelpermits, and Chaos Crew drive up to first checkpoint, which they pass without difficulty. Checkpoint 2 and 3 pose no problems either. The same cannot be said about checkpoint 4, however. Here the Chaos Crew are stopped, where it turns out that the car they’re driving has been reported stolen (note to self: check status of any vehicle to be used on a mission with the police computer, of which WE HAVE SEVERAL!!!). When a V’sori cruiser tries to sneak up on them, designated driver Kron hits the pedal to the metal and manages to loose the V’sori after a frantic chase into New York. After that, they ditch the car in a parking garage, steal another car for good measure and proceed to the home of Mad Toymaker Mike, which is where our story will continue next session…

These are our protagonists:

Oscar Neiros, a.k.a. Sandman, a former USMC sniper who has learned how to make himself invisible, and can teleportinstantly out of harms way

Sparky

Kron

Ms. Eva

They have one thing in common: they are supervillains, and as such are mercilessly hunted down by the alien V’sori, and it seems their luck in evading them has finally run out.

It is at this time that they are rescued by criminal mastermind Dr. Destruction, and forced on penalty of death by falling to join the supervillain resistance known as Omega. Their first mission, which they succesfully complete, is to spring another captured supervillain from jail, as well as some members from the human undergound. Oh, and some big-ass scary Barbiedoll.

Brought together like this, they decide to keep working as an active Omega cell, and thy call theselves Chaos Crew.

After this first mission, Sandman and ms. Eva take some well deserved time off. In the meantime, Chaos Crew receives a new assignment – to kill some gangleader. They fail miserably, but manage to secure a hideout and some loyal followers in the process. When Sandman rejoins them, Dr. Destruction orders them to haul around with some kind of big generator, and to hook it up somewhere below Star City. They promptly carry out these orders… except they don’t – first they decide to try to find and kill the escaped gang leader, but in their search for him he manages to steal the generator from the hideout and hides it in an undersea base. Also, there is a shootout with the police, some secret police organisation and firefighters at the hideout, with the end result that Chaos Crew now has it’s very own medic, and a very large collection of cars.

Salvaging the generator requires the Chaos Crew, now whole again as ms. Eva rejoins the fun, to first steal a submarine from a small base, and then, in true A-team style, knock out Sparky as he turns out to be allergic to water. After finding and entering the undersea base they discover that all occupants are killed in a most gruesome manner, including what seems to be another Omega cell (later confirmed by Dr. Destruction). Eventually they discover a huge, mutated cyborg/Fin creature, which, dangerous as it is supposed to be, they manage to kill quite easily. With help from Dr Destruction they manage to transport the generator back to the hideout.

It’s at this time that Sandman and Ms. Eva decide, again, to take some time off, and this time around Kron joins them. While away, Dr Destruction has another mission to carry out, dumps it and two red-shirt helpers on the lonely Sparky. While valiantly trying to carry out this mission, and in the face of much adversity, Sparky manages to let one of the one-time helpers partly destroy the generator… again…

After briefly entertaining thoughts of waterboarding Sparky, Kron and Sandman rejoin their hot-headed teammate in order to help him fulfill their mission targets.
